My First Day in Nanyang Junior College

    Today is my first day of JXP. I set several alarms last night, because I don't want to be late for the first day. This morning, when I put on my school uniform, I thought I was back to the time when I was in high school in China. I saw the dark sky disappeared on the school bus. Though I was still a little sleepy on the school bus, I felt fresh and  excited as soon as I got off the bus and walked into the campus with the sunshine and blue sky. 

    While Guangyao gave the greeting speech on the school meeting,  I stood behind him waving hands to JC students and trying to remember each friendly face of them.

   Headmaster talked with us, SM2 scholars, and introduced 17 buddies to us, who volunteered to be our guides to show us their school life in JC.

   My buddy was a lovely, enthusiastic, and humorous girl. She invited me to her home for dinner and homestay on Saturday immediately after she told me her name, which really surprised me. What a hospitable girl she is!

   She allowed me to the history class with her. We learned about the ICJ in UN. I thought the lesson was quite interesting, so I took some note from PPT and blackboard writing. I saw my buddy taking note and highlighting the text carefully, which brought me to my high school life in China.

   After the history class, we attended the Chinese class, where we talked about the outline of the Chinese novel <雪山飞狐>. The teaching method was just like our Chinese teacher. They analyzed the symbol of the stage property in the novel and picked out the thread of the story. My buddy's homework was quite good and she always tried to answer teacher's questions.

   Because school would have to publish the A-Level grades today, our classes were over before lunch.

   I am very happy to meet my buddy, she is so nice, and she likes to introduce her friends to me. I think this is a good beginning for the JXP. I hope tomorrow I can get up earlier and make more friends.
