Conclusion

The JC experience was over but our relationship will never stop. I became good friend with my buddy and some other people in NYJC. I really thank MOE arrange this activity to make me meet more friends and be familiar with Singapore culture. I will keep in touch with my buddy and wait all my friends in NYJC to come to NTU and become classmates again!

Happy ending

After one week of my JC experience, we hold an activity to get together. We spend whole morning in Fairprice to buy a lot of good food. Then we stayed in a TV room near hall 13 in NTU and all of us came and enjoyed foods. Then we played games and watched TV. There was big rain outside so we cannot have outdoor activities. But we did enjoy ourselves because we became very good friends.

Physics class

We had physics class today. My buddy will ave two physics tutorials each week and some physics lectures. For physics lectures, one teacher stood in the front of a huge class and many teachers stood in different places to look at the students and answer the questions. I found it interesting because we do not study like that but it is common in universities. I have got used to it during my university time.

PE class

We had a PE class at the last of a week. We did not have class on a playground but a small gym. first we had some preparation because it can keep our body safe for the following activities. I thought we could play basketball but we actually did not. Instead, we did some muscle training and basic exercise. I think this is just another kinds of exercise which is more useful to boost the muscle but a little bit boring.

Chess activity

We played Chinese chess with school students in the noon. First, we listened one student telling us the history and the rule of Chinese chess. Then we combined by two students and played chess together. Some students played chess, and other students played Chinese chess. I and my buddy played Chinese chess together and he could play it very well. He won it eventually and we really had a happy life.

Happy Ending

On Sunday, we went to buy foods in the afternoon. We bought alot of different foods in case that the foods were not enough for our party. Then we came back to NTU and waited for our buddies. My co-buddy Cor came earliest. Her parents sent her and her came 20 minutes early. Cor was really outgoing, although she didnt know my SM2friends, they still became formiliar after a short time. Then after 4:20, other buddies arrived. Then we ate and played interesting games together. Everybody was so excited and happy.
I thought this party gave me a happy ending of my JXP. And also, this experience will be my unforgetable memory. I'll cherish my JXP experience forever. I'll always miss my lovely buddies and this golden time.

Prepare

Saturday came and we began to prepare for tomorrow's appreciation activity.
At the beginning we felt a little upset. We had thought about having a BBQ in NTU, but because of the haze, we cannot make it. So that we had to think about other theme. And finally we decided to have a party in our TV room.
Because I had not seen my cute buddies for a week, I really missed them. But unfortunately, one of my buddy, Joanna, can't come to our party because she had other plan. So only Cor can make it.
    Waiting for Sunday.

Happy Time With Buddies!

We hold a appreciation party for our buddies last Sunday. It was quite interesting. We bought different kinds of food in advance. After our buddies arrived, we started some interesting games to play together as we enjoyed food. To celebrate the success of JXP, we took a photo together! I believe I would remember this excellent experience with new friends forever!

Prepare for Appreciation Party!

One week had passed since the end of JXP. We decided to hold an appreciation party for our buddies. I texted my buddy Qin Lin to invite her to come to NTU. Unfortunately, she had a plan with her parents to go to Malaysia. So, I decided to buy a gift for her to show my appreciation. I chose a really beautiful photo frame for her since I know she likes taking photos so much. Also, I bought something for the party. Hope the party could go well.

Journey in Tiong Bahru

After staying a night at buddy's home, we came back to Nanyang JC to join the learning journey to Tiong Bahru. I felt so honored to have the chance to listen to an old journalist giving speech about the history of Tiong Bahru. I got to know more about Singapore. After his presentation, we took bus to Tiong Bahru. There is a really big food court where I tasted many different delicious food such as pumpkin cake. Unfortunately, that old man didn't feel so well since he just finished a surgery. So, we keep our journey with teachers from Nanyang JC. The weather was pretty hot, but we still saw some really historical and beautiful buildings. If I have spare time, I would definitely come back here again!

JXP is over.
I do not whether I need say it finally over or it is a pity that JXP is over.
I have made friends with many local students during the two weeks, and I like them very much. They are energetic, optimistic to everything, having passion to join in everything. Not like Chinese students, we just know study.
They all have aims, no matter they are big or not, easy to achieve or not. It is better to have dreams than just learn things without thinking about the future.
I do not know when I can meet them again, I just keep in touch with them on the internet, for we are all busy with our works. May be mouths later, maybe weeks later. However, no matter when we can meet again, we can be close like now forever, and help each other in the future. I really appreciate to know friends like them. Especially my own buddy Erinna.
Thank you!

Party

We invited our buddies came to NTU to hold a party.
In the morning, we went to Fairprice and brought many delicious snacks and many pizza. We stayed in TV room in advance to prepare everything.
We also have many interesting games. However, when we finished dinner and having activities, we learned many interesting Singapore traditional games. And we really do not know them before.
Though my buddy and I have not seen each other for a week, we still very close and talked a lot. We are just like sisters.
She said she want to went Switzerland. I wish she can realize her dreams.
No matter how far we are apart, we can be best friend forever.

apprciation activity

Today is Sunday, we are all excited about the following appreciation activity.
Four boys and I went to JP to buy pizza and snack at 12:30.We ordered 8 pizzas with different flavours. Then we went to Fairprice to buy snack. We bought 10 carbonados and lots of crisps, cakes, and other snack.
We waited for four more people to join us and help to carry the snack. When we went back to TV room ,it was 3:30. Thanks our friends who had already occupied the TV room for us.Then we prepared the snack, pizza, table and chairs waiting for buddies to come.
Some of us were assigned to pick up buddies from the bus stop.Buddies came to join the party one by one. Finally there were 9 buddies came. We shared the pizza, coke, carbonados together happily. And we watched TV program while eating these delicious food.
After finishing the dinner, we sat in a circle and played games. We planed to teach buddies about “wolf”, but they were so active and taught us their games. We played happily. When we were a lot tired about the games, I showed some girls my dormitory. We sat on my bed and my roommate Jiarui is also an SM2 scholar in NYJC. We talked happily and I let them taste some local snack posted by my mom from my hometown. At the last moment, we went back to TV room and took photos together to memorize this happy day with our lovely buddies!

preparing for appreciation activity

Today is Saturday, we are preparing the appreciation activity for our buddies. During the week in NYJC, I found that my buddy had contributed a lot to me. She was kind to me and accompanied me all the time. So I hope to show appreciation in tomorrow's activity.
Our first plan was the BBQ in NTU, which we are familiar with. But unfortunately because of the bad air condition, we had to change the outdoor activity to indoor activity. We came out with a plan. That is to have pizza and games in the TV room.
Most of our buddies are happy to come. So we prepared some games for them. These games are all the Chinese popular game, one is “three kingdoms”, the other is the “wolf”
We also assigned each one's task. My task is to buy pizza and snack. Some others' task is to occupy the TV room.
Waiting for tomorrow's activity.

The cultural tour

In the JXP Programme our JC specially designs an activity for the SM2 students, which is called the cultural tour. This year, we will go to Tiong Baharu and know more about Singapore's local culture. In the morning, we firstly went to the school and attended a lecture on Tiong Bahru's history. The lecturer is a retired reporter and he is really knowledgable. We were informed that Tiong Bahru was full of graves a long time ago. In order to improve citizens' living environment, The British colonial government built the first public housing estate in Singapore. Today we could still see those old houses. After reaching Tiong Bahru, we really saw those buildings. Although they are a little bit out of fashion, they are delicate and still function well. Due to the special design by the clever achitecturers, even in the hot whether you could feel the coolness when you walk though the old buildings. As a tourist attraction, Tiong Bahru is also famous for the specialty shops here. No matter it is a book shop, cafe or a accessory shop, every one is full of artistic features. When you step into one of these shops, you won't want to step out any more. I think Tiong Bahru is a beautiful place really worth visiting.

Going out for a special dinner with my buddies

Today is Saturday. Although the study in Nanyang JC has ended, our activities with our buddies haven't. My buddies friendly invited me to eat dinner with them. They took me to a hawker center in Bugis and I really enjoyed several kinds of the local food. Although I have eaten in the food centers before but they are inside the shopping mall and quite different from hawker centers. The stalls in the hawker center are much more than those in the food center and the atmosphere here is really good. You could see many locals talking with their friends happily. Many foreign tourists also come here to enjoy the delicious and cheap food. After having dinner, we went for a walk and came to the Suntec City shopping mall. I think the architecture design is really gorgeous and the man-made water curtains are really beautiful at night. I really enjoy this special day.

The last day of school study

How time flies! The five-day school study just comes to an end. Of course, at the beginning it is really hard for me to adapt to the new studying environment. I don't know the classmates and the teachers, I can't really understand what the teachers are talking, I can't keep my full concentration because of lack of sleep. However, after knowing the school better, I find it really enjoyable to study in JC. Probably because of the national service, I think students in JC are more like my peers than students in the university. They are active, energetic and friendly. We have a lot of topic to talk about and they treat me so well that I think we have been know each other for a long time. After finishing the last class, I am really sad and don't want to say goodbye to all of my friends.

Conclusion of JXP

Well, the 9-day JXP is finally over. In the JXP, I think that I have learned a lot. First of all, I met many new friends besides my nice buddies Jia Jun and Lin Chiat. Then, I became more familar with the JC life in Singapore and got more familar to Singapore. What's more, I learned a lot of knowledge in the Nangyang JC, where are many nice teachers. I really feel sad that I cannot meet my buddies very often, but I think that I should keep in touch with them! I will remember the JXP forever !

Appreciation for buddies

Well today we invited our buddies to NTU to have a appreciation party. In the afternoon, we went to buy many foods and drinks, then at 4:00 pm aroun, the parties began. During the party, we played a lot of games and share the food. In addition, we shared many experience about NTU and Nangyang JC. I thought every one enjoyed the wonderful food and interesting games. When our buddies left, all of us were sad because there we might not see them very often.

Tiong Bahru Tour

Today we came to Nangyang JC to have a meeting with a wise teacher. He taught us a lot of history of Tiong Bahru in Singapore. In his briefing, I learned a lot and became more familar with Singapore. Then we took bus to go to Tiong Bahru. We had a lunch at a center and there a lot of delicious food. I had prada here, hah. Then we went to visit the Tiong Bahru. I found many wonderful and old buildings. What a nice day!

Tiong Bahru RD Tour

On last Sunday, we went to NYJC in the morning because we would have a tour to a place with a long history.
At the beginning, an old professor told us about the history of Tiong Bahru RD. He related it with many other historical events. I was amazed that he knew so much about the history here. He also told us that many famous people had lived there.
Then after listening to the history, we went there by bus. On the Tiong Bahru RD, we ate delicious snacks first. Then we went to a road called Kim Tian RD, where there were many fantastic and interesting stores. Some artwares were really beautiful. And I loved the comfortable and warm atmosphere there especially.

Teaching methods

In my first opinion, junior college is just the same as high school in China. However, after staying in JC for some time, I discovered that there are lots of differences. The students in JC have more free choice to arrange their courses,  but you will have to follow the schools' arrangement in China. Besides, there are lectures and tutorials in JC, but Chinese students only have same classes every day. I cannot point out which one is better, JC give students more freedom and independence. However, Chinese education could be more efficient I think.

Chinese class

I had my first Chinese lesson in Singapore. There are many students who can speak Chinese fluently.
We studied one famous novel and it was exciting and interesting. This made me feel like being back to my high school in China.

The forth day integrating into the school

Because the schedule on Thursday is very full, I had thought this day would be very tough. However, much to my surprise today was quite enjoyable. At class,  I came to get used to the teaching methods of JC teachers,  which means I could understand what the teachers mean and learn some knowledge together with my JC friends. As for the relationship with JC students, they invited me to eat lunch with them and we talked a lot with each other. They are quite humorous and regarded me as their own friend. The PE lesson I had in the afternoon was also impressive. Probably because my clothes size I informed the teacher in charge of the programme is small, the sports shorts she gave me is actually what the GIRLS wears. It was quite embarrassing to wear such a pair of shorts in front of my new friends and it is really too short for me. In all, I think today's experience was quite precious for me and I am sure I will keep it in my heart forever.

Night at buddy's home

The life in Nanyang JC ended, but we still had the chance to hang out with our buddy's. According to our schedule, we would stay a night at Chen Ying, Wang Wenhao's buddy's house. During the day time, we don't have any activities. We went to meet our buddies in NTU after they took part in NTU Openhouse. We took 179 to pioneer to take MRT. After nearly 1 hour on the way, we finally arrived at a place named Kembangan. They told us we could try a very delicious food named<腰只面线>. It wad really delicious with chicken soup in it. We walked to buddy's home. When we arrived, her family members were all in sleep and we entered her room quietly. In her family, she has two sisters and a 2-year-old brother. Her brother looks so cute. From the photos in her room, I know that she has a really great family. We talked for a while. Wenhao's buddy is a very humorous girl. I really enjoy talking with her. We would go for a journey the next day so I had a good sleep.

My Saturday with Joanna

On Saturday, I went with Joanna and her parents to her auntie's home to watch a new celebration--"过大礼”.
Joanna's parents took us to a place to have breakfast. They were really nice that they bought two baozi for me. The diameter of one of them was more than 10cm! But they were really delicious!
On the way to Joanna's auntie's home, she told me that her grandma, several aunties were live nearby on the same floor. 过大礼 was a tradition of 潮州人 because her auntie's family were 潮州人.
过大礼 meant that one week before the wedding, the bridegroom should send some gifts to the bride's home. I saw their was fruits and dessert. And also, there were a necklace, a bracelet, a ring and a pair of earings. Joanna's auntie told me that it was called"四点睛“, which was really interesting.

Time to say goodbye!

Friday was the last day we stayed in Nanyang JC. The schedule was not so busy. It is a little bit hard to say good bye to this school. The school is very beautiful,  students here are enthusiastic and teachers here are very kind to me. Life in Nanyang JC is quite different from what I experienced in China before. Qin Lin and I ended our last class at 12am. We decided to have a relaxing day. After saying good bye to school, we took MRT to another place to have lunch with her friends. During the lunch we had a very happy conversation. The 5-day experience of JC is memorable. I got to know more about school life in Singapore. Most importantly, I made friend with Qin Lin, a very kind and warmhearted girl. Luckily, we can still meet each other tomorrow!

Learning Journey

Today we can have the experience to visit Tiong Bahru.
We gathered at NYJC and listened to a lecture about the Tiong Bahur, the lecturer is an old man, while he is really interesting. He told us about the history and the famous people who lived there before. Also, he explained the architectural style of these buildings.
After the lecture, we went Tiong Bahur, where is not very far away. We went the wet market and had lunch upstairs, there are many local food. Many of them may cannot be found in our canteen.
Then we went around and appreciated many kinds of architectures. Some are even lasted for more than seventy years!
The shops there are also special. They are classical! It is just the kind of what I like.
It is time to say goodbye to all of the JXP friends, I am looking forward to the BBQ next Sunday.

Last Trip

It should be the last time we went to Nanyang Junior College, please allow me to call it the full name. Getting up early but not earlier than the weekdays, having an easy breakfast at our canteen for no offer in the NYJC on weekends, we took subway to the school for the first time and last time.
A little trouble happened, we got a little bit late. Fortunately, they did not punish us and I still learn a lot in that so-called history class. The teacher told us some stories about Tiong Bahru, as well as the famous people in the history who had lived there. I listened very carefully and very cherished the opportunity. Then we went to Tiong Bahru to taste some delicious food, and walked around to view the interesting buildings and historic, cultural shops. It was really a good place, even though set up 70 to 80 years ago. Finally when we approached to the MRT station, we had to say something. I would remember the moment, and thank y'all very much.

Home Stay

I cannot use my world to describe how excited when I knew I can stay at my friend's buddy's house.
Because my buddy's family don't want strangers to stay at their home, and my friend's buddy's house has enough space to invent four people to stay at their home, so we for people went her home after NTU open house, it is a long time when traveling, I was nervous and excited.
For including her classmates, we have nine people in total, so we went out for dinner. It is a noisy place, crowded and hot, bur the food is very great, indigenous and warm. It let me felt as I were in China, eating a bowl of noodle and then can go back home.
It is a long time of walk until we arrived at her house. It is a big house, beautiful and cozy. I can't image how she feel for she can enjoy so much. She has a younger sister and younger brother, may be cousin. They are very cute and sensible, we played together and had a good time.
Night comes so soon and we went to sleep early. Tomorrow we will have another activity.

Learning journey

Today we got up at 7 o'clock. Because last night we slept in my buddy's home, we were all very excited and slept a little late. So we set many alarms in case we cannot get up on time. After saying goodbye to my buddy, we left her home and went to MRT station. We went to NYJC and joined their learning journey.
Firstly, we listened to the introduction of Tiong Barhu. After that we visited Tiong Barhu. We saw the first HDB and some stores.

Last Day

It is the last day of our JXP.
My buddy just had two classes that day, so we went out for lunch. She introduced many traditional food from Malay to me. Some I even did not heard about that. The food is delicious and colorful and yummy.
After lunch, we went shopping for a while, for exercise, and then we walked back to school.
We took pictures together, and then played for a while. I know a lot of new games, and they are really interesting. We also talked a lot about our life in Singapore and in China. I told her my future plans and I also knew hers, during the talk I understand the pressure oh local students and their thoughts, which is really useful to me. We all felt  exhausted and wanted to go back to home, My buddy took me to the MRT station, and we said good bye to each other, though we can see each other next Sunday, yet I felt disappointed. Maybe I cannot see her for a long time.
My buddy is really a good girl, like sunshine, warm and enthusiastic. I will miss her.
Best Wishes to you, Dear buddy.

stay in my buddy's home

Today is Saturday, and my buddy planned to go to NTU open house. After the open house, she invited me and other three SM2 girls to her home.We met outside the LT1A. My buddy, another two buddies and their boyfriends, are waiting for us.We have nine people. That was cool. On the way to her home, we laughed, talked and played happily. We had the noodles by the road, which was famous and delicious.
After the dinner, the other two buddies and their boyfriends said goodbye to us,and the rest of us walked to my buddy's home for homestay.
We all lived in her bedroom, we took shower one by one, and during that time, her little brother came into her bedroom. He was two years old. He wanted to watch cartoon. But finally, his parents came, said good night to us and brought him to sleep. When my buddy asked him to kiss her goodbye, he was too shy because all of us, five girls are looking at him. haha... He was so cute.
After we have all taken a shower, my buddy found a Chinese book and begin to read with us. That was our Chinese textbook of middle school. All the texts in it were familiar to us.
We slept until we finished the text. Good night. Waiting for tomorrow's learning journey.

last day in JC

This was Friday, the last day of my JXP. My class will be over before 12 o'clock. And today we have a big surprise for NYJC, the hand-made gift. Though we had worked till 12.30 pm last night, we did not finish all. Some interesting photos were not printed out, some pages were not decorated well.
After my last class, I went to NEX, the shopping mall nearby NYJC. I went to Fotohut to print another four photos and went back to JC to finish making the gift with my friends. The gift was a DIY photo album. We put on the photos with our buddies and photos taken in activities and classes.
At about half past three in the afternoon, we give it to our teacher in charge, Ms Tan.
She was happy and surprised with the album, and looked though it smiling.Seeing that she loved the album so much, we all felt that our efforts were not wasted.

The Sixth Day of JXP

Well, today I had dinner with JIAJUN and LIN CHIAT at Bugis. After dinner, we walked around Bugis and visited the nightview of Singapore. We went to the wealth fountain which is very beautiful and magnificent. During the walk, we talked a lot about differences between China and Singapore. Wah, what a nice day!

The Fifth Day of JXP

Today is really a nice day! We had a Chinese lesson on the morning and the teacher taught us about《雪山飞狐》.  At the noon, we played basketball together and then I went to eat at NETS with JIAJUN. Well, the wei qian ramen is delicious. The Five days' JXP lessons is over at all. I felt something sad because the day passed too fast. Well, I'm hoping the next activities.

Fabulous Friday

    Friday was coming finally.
I joined Joanna's classes on Friday. Her classmates became familiar with me, and they were so friendly, which let me feel warm.
The most interesting class was PE in the afternoon. At first, when I knew that we needed to run for 4 circles in 10 minutes, I felt despaired because I didn't think I can make it. But others were really kind, they said "要死一起死“, which let me laugh. And because of their encouragement, I finally run for 9.5minutes, and I was so excited so that I even didn't feel tired. Then we played games together, and I found they were really cute. I felt reluctant to leave NYJC and these lovely friends. When they were leaving, I said,"I'll miss you all".
Then I went to a library with Joanna because I said I would like to find more libraries. And Joanna showed me around that library. After that we came back to Joanna's home together. Her parents were very kind, and they took me to eat Bak-Kut-Tah for dinner. And in the evening, they took me to the Changi Point Coast, where was quiet and beautiful.
I really appreciated them to let me have such a fabulous Friday.

A Busy Day

I first followed Joanna, my J1buddy to the morning gathering. Her classmates were curious about me and several of them asked my name and told me their name. Her classmates were at the same age as me, and they were so cute and told me some interesting things happened in their class. Joanna's headteacher was kind as well.  Because after that I stayed with Joanna for one class, so I missed Xinrui's PE class, but I heard that the PE was really interesting that day so I felt it was a little pity.
Then I joined Xinrui's math class. I found Xinrui's math teacher was humorous and he always told jokes to make us laugh. He complained to me about the nauty naughty and noisy girls in the class, but I can see that he still like these energetic and clever girls.
But Thursday was really busy. At first I thought we could get back to NTU at 3pm. But because we needed to give a handmade gift to NYJC, so we went to NEX and bought material for that. Also, I wanted to make some little gift for my two friendly buddies, so I bought some other material. After I came back, I started to make my gift for my buddies until 8 or so. Then I got a call form my leader, and some of us went to the function room in the hall and to make the gift until 12. But there was still some parts left.

You will stay in my memory forever

It will be too crucial to say goodbye to our lovely buddies. Although today is a fine day, I cannot find any warm from it. Only because we must say goodbye to our buddies and to NYJC, which gave me many unforgettable memories. I learnt a lot of new things from this place, from my lovely buddy. Today is Friday, the last day we stayed in NYJC to do the JXP. I believe this experience will be a various things in my whole life!

Don't say goodbye

We got there at 0710am, which was the earliest time in the week. As a matter of fact, we got there earlier and earlier day by day, even many local students did not get up at that time and we could not have any choice but chicken rice at canteen. When I returned my cup to the window, the auntie said I could return it to another place the next time. The next time? I smiled. Who the hell will know when could be the next time? Oh, on Sunday probably.
All of us noticed it was the last day, and therefore we appreciated the last time and chance we study together. When the time came to the last class, I felt a little sad, undeniably. We said many words after that, and probably because we knew we could meet on another weekend, we did not say goodbye but just smiled and waved. After that, we gave our handmade gift to the school, which meant the ending of the story.
I walked out the campus, taking only one photo. I will always remember here, and please do not forget me, do not say goodbye.

missing

Always some words to my BUDDY:
A meal together there and all my wishes to you here.
Hope you enjoy your JC life and a rewarding result ahead!
Hope to be engaged with passion and to be prayed for your virtues.
See you then!
 see you in NTU !

My Third Day In NYJC

Here comes my experience in the 3rd day in NYJC.
In the morning, I had a math tutorial. I tried to follow my tutor and gradually I found that complex number was not that difficult as what I thought after the lecture on Tuesday. That tutor was curious about us that he asked whether we had learnt the complex number in China, I said no. But when I figured out the question he asked, he was amazed, but actually I didn't know much about complex number still, I just tried the method I had learnt to find the answer. And then he asked another more difficult question. I used a quite different way and worked out very fast. Xinrui was very surprised and she asked for my sollution, then I just told her my way.
And we learnt 《黛玉进贾府》 on that day. The tutor asked us to tell something about that piece. Because we had read that before, so we just told something we remembered about this one. And this class reminded me of my Chinese class in China.
The most interesting thing of the day was to share the entertainment TVshows with LEP. We shared about the TVshows in China, and they also shared many TVshows in Singapore we had never watched before.
After that, we ate pizza and gethered to take a photo. And during the eating time, I made a lot of new friends in LEP, and they kindly gave me their contact ways.
    This Wednesday was so wonderful!

2nd Day in NYJC

That day I followed my co-boddy, Xinrui and joined her classes. Actually, Xinrui is an outgoing girl. We went to her different classes and the new lessons were interesting except the math lecture and economics. They learnt complex number in the math lecture, but I hadn't learnt that before. So when in the lecture, I had a difficult time. And the economics was even harder because there were many capitals as abbr but I really cannot understand them. So as for these two, I felt confused.
The most interesting thing was the PE class. I had thought I would going to run for several round, but actually we didn't. We SM2 students played football with our buddies and their classmates. At first, we didn't know how to play, but our boddies just came and taught us. After knowing the rules, we joined them and played together. That was very interesting and I fell in love with this ballgame at once.
Tuesday was a challenging but interesting day for me.

2014年3月6日星期四

Do you still remember

It was the last second day. All of us were busying in taking photos with friends, teachers and buddies. Only four days ago, we knew nothing and felt quite confused in the campus. But now, the four days experience made us become much more familiar to the school, to everywhere we had ever been to. The main point was not what the class would be at that time, but how many classes remained for us in the JC experience programme. We both knew we would say goodbye, later or earlier, but we didn't point out, which could be our knowing in common, or just a little bit of embarrassment.
Our body were so nice, and they treated us friendly, like their classmates, brothers. Dear guys, maybe I cannot speak out anything I think, and please forgive me, I am just not major in that. However, days went so fast, and we never changed, or we changed a lot.

Forth day

The forth day end. There is only one day left.
Today we got school very early, so we can join their PE class! We can play ball together. In addition, the PE teacher taught us new skills on how to score. Though we cannot apply it very well.
They had a test during the Chinese class, so we must do our own things, it seems a little boring for I am willing to take class for the teach know very much and her teaching is really interesting. It is a pity that I cannot take her class any more, for my buddy had finished all her class this week.
There are two hours during the lunch break, so we went out of the school and had a taste at the Indian food, which is my favorite!
The English in the afternoon is just like what we take in NTU, but more serious. I had a hard time to follow the teacher.

Tomorrow will be the last day, I made a gift for my buddy, I hope she like it.
Good night!

Missing

Today is my forth day in NYJC. For the PE class we have missed I felt very pity. Because it is Thursday, the last second day which we will leave this school, we learnt very carefully to get more knowledge. Today is a missing day. We not only missed the PE class, but also miss the teacher of gp class-Dr Ducro. He is a very successful teacher who can make his class full of happiness. Although after tomorrow we must leave JC, I believe our hearts will never leave there!

The Fourth Day of JXP

Well, today we have some courses like phy, math and so on. It is worth to say that I had an very nice PE class. I find that the PE class is very different from that in China. We went to gym and the PE teacher taught us how to us the machines to practice. Although it is tiring, I felt happy because I built up my body.

Fourth day, a few shots with my buddies and Mr Ducro

As the farewell date is approaching, we asked our buddies and Mr Ducro, a very humorous Indian teacher who is very kind and patient to us to take a photo with us.

Forth day, experience of JC science subjects

Today, we had a math tutorial in the afternoon, probably the only class I can understand fairly among all the subjects lol (btw, my buddy is not a science subject student, so most of his courses I have never encountered before such as economy were very 'painful' to me.) Luckily, the math lesson made me feel engaged again.
The lesson was about complex number, which I haven't governed during my Chinese High school. But the teacher's way of teaching was very brief and clear, therefore I easily picked up most of the things. I even had a chance to help the girl who sitted next to me with a tutorial question, unforgettable.
Anyway, Singaporean science classes have a lot of similarities with Chinese ones. Both require a lot exercises to master new knowledge, but Singaporean horizon of knowledge was more wide while Chinese extend of understanding of a specific problem is more deep.

Second day special activity: First-aid learning

At noon, With our buddy Yan Ming, we went to a first-aid lesson delivered by specially trained guys and girls. some useful and basic first-aid knowledge was gained, cool.

I learned some skills to stop nose bleeding, bind up after wrinkle sprain, and some other useful life skills. Quite a rich class.

The second day in JXP

The second day in JXP

We got a little bit familiar about the timetable, the school and our JXP life. When we arrived at school, we had breakfast at dinning hall. However, I was not allowed to enjoy so much because the first class came really early. And that was Chinese class. We learnt the novel Xue Shanfeihu of Jin Yong. Then I had English class and it was a little boring for I cannot understand it very well. Next I had the following classes with my buddy and left school.

The first day of JXP

The first day of JXP

The bus was late. We got up so early but the bus was late. When we got on the bus I began to sleep. As we arrived the school. The teacher who charged JXP welcomed us. Then she arranged us to meet with our buddies and then we went to class. The first class I had with my buddy was chemistry. The knowledge was not difficult and it was lower than what we learnt in China. Then we had physics and math. Because the school would published the grades of A level and we were not supposed to see so we were dismissed early that day.

forth day in JC

Today is the forth day in NYJC. My buddy was ill today, so she did not come to school.I followed my buddy's classmate. She was very nice, too. After we finished today's classes, we prepared the handmade gift for our buddies together.
Today is a busy day, I just hope buddies will like the gift.

Fourth-Day Update~

It was a pity that we skipped the P.E. Class in the morning because we could make it on time but after all it turns out to be a great day.
The most fun part is having the Chinese Literature Class as the class were learning articles which we had learned before in senior high back in China. The teacher asked us to share our thoughts on the "红楼梦",the very famous Chinese literary classic. It is a great opportunity to observe how local students learns Chinese Literature written in classic Chinese and I'm quite surprised that most of them can handle it well.

photo taken with Mr. Ducro
The last lesson today was General Paper Class, after which we take a photo with the teacher, Mr. Ducro.(It would be the last GP class we had during JXP) He is a very smart man who can manage the class to be exciting and interesting.
Cheers!Tmr will be the last day.
I'm gonna miss all these days INDEED!

Lucky Day For Me!

This morning, I found that I left my coat at school yesterday. However, I was so lucky that my classmate Zhao Han found it in a classroom. The first class of today was PE class. We played rugby again. I am more familiar with the game rules this time and really enjoyed it. Since I ran quite fast, the funny PE teacher praised me. At 9 am, we went have the Economy class. Confused, again. What we could do was listening to our buddies discussion. It is a pity that we don't have economy class in China when we go to high school. It is actually a very important subject. After the class, we went out of school to have our lunch. I tried Indian food for the very first time. Our buddies told me the Prata was delicious, so I ordered the Egg Onion Chili Prata. I ate it with Indian curry. It tastes totally different from Japanese curry. It was so tasty! My classmate Huang Lyudan tried another dish named Tissue Strawberry. Also not bad! After we came back to school, we had a relaxing time in canteen. I felt so sleepy and napped for a while. However, a terrible thing happened. I left my wallet there and went directly to another classroom without noticing the truth. Only when I got the SMS from the teacher in our school did I realized that I lost my wallet. I went to get my wallet at general office. I felt so lucky and also people in Nanyang JC are so kind! Hope I won't make that mistake again!

Third day, I got the culture.

Today is my third day of JXP. Although I felt so tired today, but I was very lucky to know more about Singapore and be closer to this country. Because of the communication with a Chinese Organization called LEP. Since I arrived in Singapore last year, I haven't seen TV for half years. But today's presentations made me know that there are still many interesting TV programme which I didn't find. I could know that we can learn more things from these TV shows.
After that, we had dinner with them and all of us learnt a lot from this meeting. I wish that we can still be happy like today!

Amazing!

Times went quickly and we reached the middle point of the journey.
Today was quite different, especially in having plenty of time to spend. Another school, S. Andrew JC organized a long running event today and I envied so much. However, I just had 2 lessons today and spent quite a long time in the library on reading, studying, or napping as well. Our buddies were not busy, either, and all of us spent a relaxing day today.
Importantly, today's sharing event with LEP club was really happy and unforgettable. They were warmhearted to traditional Chinese culture and loved it so much. We had a lot in common to share, and today our topic was variety show. Our group covered Who's still standing, and our game was quite successful in organizing everyone to take part in answering the questions.
After the event we shared a pizza dinner, and as well we shared our contact information during it, what a fantastic and amazing day.

Third Day, Tired Day

Time passes so quickly, it was the third day of my JXP. To send our classmates who went to SAJC to east coast park, we were a bit late for school this morning. Luckily, JC2 students were having a morning meeting and we joined them quietly. The first class after the meeting was the Economy lecture. This is the subject that I have never learnt in my life. What the teacher said and taught were so difficult for me to understand. I borrowed Qin Lin's textbook and tried to know something about economy. Then, we went to have the Math tutorial. The teacher is the lady who gave us the Math lecture yesterday. Although the problem they did was a little bit easy to me, I still paid attention to the whole class and helped Qin Lin with some details she didn't understand. The last class in the morning is Chinese. Today, we learnt an article from <红楼梦>. I have read this famous novel before and the kind lady, who is our teacher asked me to introduce this book to other students. This class was very interesting. I followed Qin Lin's advice and tried another dish which I can't call out the name as my lunch. On Wednesday, students in Nanyang JC will all take part in different CCAs. Since we come from China, the teacher invited us to join LEP club to have some communication with members in this club. The topic today was variety shows in China and Singapore. My group introduced a TV show named <爸爸去哪儿> to them. Also, from their presentation, I got to know some very interesting variety shows in Singapore such as It's A Small World and Behind Every Job. By this project, I made some new friends who come from both Singapore and China. They were very hospitable and ordered delicious pizzas for us to have as dinner. I felt so tired today and hope tomorrow would be as interesting as the past few days.

The third day, cultural exchange activity

Today is wednesday and all of the SM2 students in Nanyang JC attended a cultural exchange activity arranged by "Bo Wen Xue Hui", which is a group formed by students having a strong interest in Chinese learning. Our task is to introduce the Chinese variety show programs in China to them and of course they will introduce the Singaporean ones to us. We shared three famous programs "Stay to the End" ("Yi Zhan Dao Di"), "Day Day Up" ("Tian Tian Xiang Shang") and "Dad Where Going" ("Ba Ba Qu Na Er"). I thought the most interesting part happened in the activity prepared by the first group who introducing "Stay to the End". We imitated what the program did and each side chose five persons to compete with each others by answering some Chinese Literature questions. Five representatives from Nanyang JC really did a good job and the game ended as a draw. As for the students from Nanyang JC, they introduced "Mei Chai Shi Ku Chai Shi" ("Behind Every Job"), "Guo Ji Jiao Yi suo" (It's A Small World)and "Ni Zai Jiong Shen me" ("Let's talk"). I found they were also very interesting and had Singapore's culture in them. In all, it was a really valuable experience and I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for the good arrangement and preparation by the friendly students in "Bo Wen Xue Hui"!

Third day, unforgettable experience of culture

Today we only have two lessons. But today was a big day because of the communicating activity with local Chinese students. Via the event we introduced TV programs from Singapore and from China using multiple ways of performing. This was an interactive activity between the Chinese students who had been in Singapore for years and us who are new here, so we gained some original perspective from each other. More interestingly, some of us are from the same place, quite funny, isn't it?

The Third day of JXP

For today, I think it is an interesting and happy day. After some courses, we had a communication with the Bo Wen Association. From this activity, we communicated about some variety shows of China and Singapore. By this activity, I learned a lot of some shows in Singapore. Also, our group presented the show: Dad, where do we go. I felt very happy to communicate this with the student in Singapore!

My second day, most busy of all

Today is full loaded with classes, from morning to evening. The timetable is crowded with arrangements, which reminded me of my rich and busy Chinese high school days.
But probably haven't waken up so early for a long time, I felt very sleepy at lectures, almost hit the desk. But due to my hard struggle, I managed to beat sleepiness.
The courses we had in NYJC is very comprehensive, which cover economy, International history, literature and so on. Compared to all dull science subjects we had in Chinese high school, they are more colorful and they keep students more knowledgeable.

First Day in NYJC

The first day I went to NYJC was 3rd, March. I had been looking forward to going there for several days because I felt that interesting to study with local students for a whole week in JC.
In the morning, I met my buddy and co-buddy. My buddy was a student from J1, her name was Shiying. And my co-buddy was a J2 student, whose name was Xinrui. Shiying is at the same age as me. And Xinrui is a little older than me .So they were amazed when I said I was 17 because I was already a  bridging course student in NTU. Shiying was a very cute girl and her voice was soft.
Xinrui was a kind and outgoing girl.
I followed Shiying for the first day. First class was history. She was learning the Cold War. I also took notes in class, which let me feel back to history classes in my high school. And then we went for a math tutorial. Shiying always asked me whether I can understand what the tutor said. I thought Shiying was a careful and thoutful girl. After the math tutorial, she didn't have class so she showed me around NYJC. She led me to the 4 lecture theaters, the gym, the library and the canteen. Actually, because it was Shiying's first year in NYJC, she was not familiar with the JC as well. But it was still nice of her to led me to almost all the places she knew. Btw, I was lucky to be invited to Shiying's home for an overnight stay on friday.
The first day was so interesting that I cannot wait the next day!

Wonderful day

I have to say that this morning we were late. And this is because the bus driver got the wrong way.
SO many classes during the morning, I was very hungry when the lunch time coming, the math tutorial is really interesting, I like the tutor very much. He is very humorous. I like the atmosphere during the math tutorial.
In the afternoon, we had a CCA to discuss about the Chinese and Singaporean TV shows, I knew a lot of indigenous entertainment program.
Our topic is the Day Day Up, a show from China. We prepared it for three days, and we did a role-play, and it works well.
After the activity, we had pizza together. The pizza was delicious. During the dinner, we chant with the club members and knew a lot. Of course, we knew more new friends. I really appreciate them for the CCA and the dinner.

Good night!

Nice Wednesday

Life is always tasty.
I have just downloaded some fabulous piano songs of Yiruma. This morning  it was very interesting to appreciate such musics while observing the sun setting up.
During the break, i followed my buddy and his friends going out for a meal. They sincerely shared their hobbies and experience with me, like football, street dance and yudo.
Then it came to our preparation for the Chinese TV show presentation. No pains , no gains. Thanks for everyone's efforts, without which our presentation cannot run smoothly.
Finally, the Hawaii pizza and sausage pizza tasted great. The Huawen Club is really a considerate host!Let lone my buddy!
Hope to get there innumerable times, disregarding the taxi fare!

Third day in NYJC

Today was the third day of JC, I was finally got used to the early alarm at 5.30.But unfortunately, our bus was late for school because of some reasons. I missed one Chinese class about the poem,Qiang Jin Jiu.
In today's maths class, we learned complex numbers. I did a question on the blackboard and enjoyed the class very much.
In today's economy lecture, I was completely confused.I tried to catch up with the teacher, but I failed and gave up at last.
In today's Chinese literature class, we learned 《黛玉进贾府》. Teacher analysed the description of different characters. As well, teacher invited us, SM2 students in her class, to share something interesting about <Hong Lou Meng>.
I was surprised that a Chinese teacher in Singapore can understand a Chinese novel so well that even some Chinese teachers in China may not catch up with them.I love this class so much.
In the afternoon, we shared the variety shows from China with students in the Literature Association of NYJC. They also introduced several variety shows in Singapore. Finally, we had pizza with them together and talked something beyond the Chinese literature.
Though I felt tired when I got home at 7 p.m.today was very meaningful and I found many surprise.
Looking forward to tomorrow's class. Good night.

Day 2

We spend the whole day together today. Our buddies introduced us education system in Singapore, and they were very interested in the education system in China. I had Korean class with my buddy. It is a special program in their school, they can choose one subject they are interested to study, there are many choices, they can even choose foot massage @@. Though, they have only one class in a year. Anyway, we had fun together.

Day 1

First day in Nanyang JC .Our buddies were going to watch their seniors receiving their A-level grades(?), so after lunch with them, we left Nanyang JC . My buddy is a smart, kind girl; and our buddies are all warm people. I'm looking forward to the next few days in Nanyang JC!^_^

2nd Day in JC

I learned many things on my second day in JC.
Different from our senior high school in China, the junior college has a great course which is called life skills. Students will have chances to choose what skills they want to learn. For my buddy, she chose the interview skill which is very important for our future application to scholars and jobs.
I also joined their PE class. Actually, I am not treated as a stranger, instead, the teacher treat me just as a member of the class. So did the classmates. (though it was quite awkward to play with girls :P)
Tomorrow I am going to take classes with my boy buddy~  Good Night Singapore

My second day in Nanyang JC

Today I had my first Chinese class in Nanyang JC, which is the one course I have been curious about for a long time. At present, my class are learning the Chinese martial novel "Xue Shan Fei Hu". Because in China although martial novels are very popular, we don't put them in our textbooks, I found today's learning experience was very funny and interesting. The teacher introduced some questions concerning the novel appearing in the past year A-level papers and I found some of the questions were really challenging. As a result, I think Singaporean students are doing very well in Chinese literature appreciation. After having the lunch, I went to the gym with my buddy, where there was a workshop for students to know how to train their muscles with different equipments and different measures. I am not used to doing exercise so I found it was very tiring and hard for me to do the training. However, I think I really learned a lot of things in the workshop and I realized I should pay more attention to my health.

No Longer Weird as Before

It was the second day, a rising part of the five day journey. It was also the first time we took a lecture lesson at Nanyang JC. Coincidently, many friends of our scholars were also taking the lesson, therefore, it was a really familiar feeling to have lessons together just like our chemistry lecture in NTU.
I noticed that there are only two or three guys wearing the uniforms which everyone wore yesterday, but they were in different, various and colourful T-shirts of NYJC. As a result, we were no longer weird in the crowd any more because there were also some students in the same clothes as us.
I admired the special temperament the students were with. Girls wear skirts, and tying their hair up, which looks pretty, clean and motivative. All the students wear sports shoes for PE class and which was really different from what we had looked in the university. I love that feeling, similar to which in our Chinese high schools. I cannot stop remembering the old days which I cannot get back forever, but thanks to the students from NYJC, I got the chance to recall.

Second Day Of JXP

After a good sleep, I was prepared for the second day of the life in Nanyang JC. I met Qin Lin before the class and she inroduced some of her friends to me. The first class is the Math Lecture. I could finally have a class about the subject I am good at. The lecture threater is much smaller than those in NTU, but filled up with students. We learnt Complex Number today. To me, this class was quite easy and I answered some questions from Qin Lin. The math teacher was really good at teaching. I think every student likes her since all of them listened to the class very carefully. After the Math lecture, we came to another classroom to have the English class. I met Qin Lin's classmates there and they were very nice. The reading and comprehension questions they did were similar to what we did in NTU but much more difficult. I realized that their homework was not as easy as I thought. We went to the canteen in our school today. Qin Lin told me the yong tau fu was really delicious. I knew it was true after I had a taste. We had a 2-hour long lifeskill class in the afternoon. Every student can choose what they like to learn. Some choose to learn Korean while others might want to learn massage. Qin Lin is interested in Guitar. Luckily, I had learnt it before when I was in China. The students in this class were very friendly and they offered me a guitar to play. After learning in this class, I can play a piece of song with them together. Then we went to the Chinese class to continuous the class we had yesterday. At 3 am, we changed our clothes to have the PE class. The teacher was very humorous. Qin Lin and her classmates were learning rugby these days. I watched them having a small test for the first 30 minutes and tried my best to learn the rule of this game. I joined in their game after they finished their test. Although the weather was really hot this afternoon, we had a good time playing rugby together and almost forgot the time. I came to NTU by MRT with my classmates. I feel  tired but very happy today!
We are having the guitar class.

Qin Lin and her classmates are preparing for their rugby test.
Today is the  second day of JXP. Today's first class was maths. i went to maths lecture with my buddy, We learned  complex number and some examples. I found that there were about 200 students in that lecture room, and one lecturer and two assistant teachers walking around the whole classroom to answer questions. Lecturer gave us several examples of different kinds of questions.
Second class was English. We tried to summarize paragraphs into own words.
During our lunch time ,my buddy invited her classmates to have lunch with us.  And they told me something about the O-level and the A-level.
Todays's most interesting class was the foot massage. That was the extension class once a year. And my buddy chose the foot massage. Firstly, we washed our feet, and applied the scream on our one  foot, leaving the other one as comparison. Secondly, teacher chose me as  model to show the first step of massage. Then students practiced with partners. The massage was easy to learn and we all practiced well.
After the Chinese literature, we attended PE class. I learned the rules of American football and played happily with my buddy and her classmates.
I thought today's classes were quite interesting and I enjoyed very much.
Looking forward to tomorrow's presentation for CCA.

The Second Day of JXP

For the second day, I become more familar with the Nanyang Junior College. At 8'o clock we arrived and found my buddy Jia Jun. Today we have many courses to have, like English, math, physics and so on. It is worth to metion that after lunch I went gym with my buddy. During the workshop, someone taught us how to do gym and how to practice each part of our body. Then I tried to do the gym. Although it is tired, I felt happy to build my body. We finshed our courses at 4:30pm and then we came back to NTU. What a wonderful day!
The second day is end.
Today, I felt much better. They all wear sports shirts so we don't feel unconformable. What's more the PE teacher did recognized me as a stranger and treat me as a member of the whole class. Which made me fell very warm.
I knew many new friends, they all in the same class. We have many common topics, We talked together and laughed together.
I adjusted to the class in JC in principle, it is really active. Today's class is more difficult that yesterday, while I can follow the teacher easily.
I also had a music activity, we played guitar together. It is very delightful when all the members play together. It is a kind of enjoyment.
However, my favorite class today is PE, and I learned a new kind of sport today, it is rugby. I just saw players play on shows on championship, but I even did touched the ball.My buddy and her classmates taught us the rules of the game, them we played together. It's a little tired, but enjoyable.
Now, go to bed early, and prepare for the next day!

Everyday we can learn new things

You can learn new and different things everyday. This is my final feeling today. I learnt a lot of new things from my buddy and the class. We learnt many new things that we cannot learn from China's high school, such as economy and Korean language. Up to now, I find that having such classes is a very happy thing and each student hopes to own classes like this. From today's experience, I can find that why there exists differences between Chinese education system and Singapore's. Because they focus on different aspects. I very enjoyed today's JXP and I believe that each of us can learn more useful things during the rest time we stayed in our JC.

NOTE

We all know what high school life is about. Needless to say, some of my friends are still striving for entering universities. My lively memory in China has matched what i experience now.
One seldom exhorts a college student what he should do or should not do. becoming independent, we gradually miss the time with teachers' "gentle" reminders, which belong to these juniors. In the math lecture this morning,  noises among students were suddenly stopped by a teacher's shouting. He was inspecting around and supervised students to conduct properly. In my past circumstances, i definitely found it amusing, but at this moment, i have realized that no one has  waited there to guide me but myself.
We can never be back and we have already grown up.

Very First Day In Nanyang JC

Today is the first day of both the recess week and JXP. I didn't sleep very well before the big day and kept looking forward to this project. The bus picked up all of us very early which reminded me the day in China. After an hour, we arrived at our school, Nanyang Junior Collage. The gate of our school is really beautiful. We entered school with other local students. Ms.Tan, a teacher teaching Chinese came to meet us and introduced something we need to notice during our JXP. She is very humorous and enthusiastic. At about 8:30 am, we are introduced to all the students and teachers in Nanyang JC. Our leader Liu Guangyao gave a speech to them. They gave applause to welcome all of us. After the morning meeting, the headmaster Mr.Guo came to the classroom. Although he was very busy, he gave a speech to us and got to know all of us. At 9:30, our buddies came into the classroom to meet us. All of them are outgoing and get along well with teachers. My buddy is a girl named Tan Qin Lin. She is a very beautiful and warmhearted girl. We had a small conversation before our first class. She didn't choose science to be her major course, and I knew it would be quite a different experience here since I am always better in science subjects. The first class is Geography. The teacher was commenting on the quiz they had before I came here. Qin Lin said this subject was quite difficult and it was true. I couldn't understand what the teacher was talking about since I had never learnt it before. It is even more difficult since all of the knowledges were taught in English. After Geography, we went to another classroom to have the Chinese class. It was much easier for me to understand this class, however, the contents are totally different. The teacher is teaching the novel 《雪山飞狐》. I have never read it before, but after the interesting class I made up my mind that I must read it in other time. This class ended at 12 am. Qin Lin and her classmates, who are buddies of other students took us to a food court to have our lunch. On our way to the food court, Qin Lin and I got to know more about each other. She told me her mother is a Chinese and her father comes from Singapore. The lunch was really delicious. Since our buddies are all JC2 students, they would have a meeting in the afternoon without any class. So we said goodbye to them and  came back to NTU by MRT after our meal. Today was quite an interesting day and I made a lot of new friends. Looking forward to the next day!

The beginning of my JC experience

Getting up early in the morning, i was thrilled to know what JC life would be, yet i find many things i am familiar with.Their experience right now is quite similar with mine a year ago.
Morning Meeting  was one of our common daily routines. when i heard that the past year students would come back , at this important moment , to receive their A-level results, i understood their pressure . when i learned that the year 2 students had to stay with seniors to share this meaningful moment together, i understood their motivation .
As for my buddies, a kind and a little bit shy boy and an outgoing girl , always looked with a sunshine smile. The Junior college, where only study can bother them, should be well appreciated.
Thanks for the suggestions from Mr Guo,the guidance of Ms Chen  as well as the help from  Lu Cheng and Lau Qianning!

My first day at Nanyang JC --Wan Yi

JC Experiential Program is a brand new life experience for me. During my first day in Nanyang JC, I gained some new understandings about Singapore education system.
The Junior College in Singapore is more different from Senior High School in China than I expected, though both Singaporean JC students and Chinese High school students are about the same age of 16-18. The daily schedule of JC students is more flexible, unlike Chinese students siting in one specific classroom, filled up with classes one by one, from dawn to dusk every day. I think compared to Chinese high school, JC system interacts more with universities.
Anyway, I felt like coming back to the old days in Senior high school seeing so many young peers around us. In school uniforms, and presented on flag rising ceremony, my new life experience started on a normal but extraordinary day.
I’d like to give all my most sincere thanks to Mr Principal, our kind leading teacher Ms Tan ,my enthusiastic buddy Yan Ming and all friends who gave us support and welcome for the day. on the following days, I hope to make more friends and have an unforgettable time with everyone!
PS: One funny thing I want to mention: My cute buddy Yan Ming translated the word 'buddy' into Chinese as ‘对象’( it means 'spouse')  lol! We burst out laughing, he is so funny.
